iPhone 5 Prototype Ends Up Missing In San Francisco Bar
In what seems to be a bizarre repeat of an incident that occured last year, Apple managed to lose another next-generation iPhone prototype in a fashion similar to the conditions in which the iPhone 4 went missing months before the fourth generation device was meant to be seen in public. This time, the iPhone 5 prototype appears to be missing and was found by someone at a bar in San Francisco’s Mission District in a bar named Cava 22. There seems to be a lot of questions in the air but what is known for sure is that Apple is working with the police to recover what is presently believed to be a missing iPhone 5 prototype. An unnamed Apple employee is believed to have lost the device. Although we are finding out about the lost iPhone 5 now, the incident reportedly happened in late July. “This year’s lost phone seems to have taken a more mundane path,” CNET confirms in its coverage of the story, which is almost too difficult to believe. “It was taken from a Mexican restaurant and bar and may have been sold on Craigslist for $200. Still unclear are details about the device, what version of the iOS operating system it was running, and what it looks like.” Apple has not officially filed a police report however – likely in an effort to keep this development under wraps. For now, Apple isn’t offering comments on the matter but all published reports and even sources within the San Francisco police department confirm one thing – the missing iPhone 5 prototype has not yet been recovered. As usual, stay tuned for more info on the topic by following us on Facebook, Twitter, and/or subscribing to our RSS feed. Authors:
