Icann and Verisign renew the authoritative registry operator contract

DULLES, VA--(Marketwire - Jun 28, 2011) - VeriSign, Inc. (NASDAQ: VRSN), the trusted provider of Internet infrastructure services for the networked world, today announced that the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and Verisign have renewed Verisign's contract to serve as the authoritative registry operator for the .net registry for another six years.
