[How To] Fix iBooks Error Using “iBooks Fix” Cydia App
If you’ve jailbroken your iPhone using Greenpois0n, or Redsn0w then you might have noticed that you’re not able to open some eBooks using the iBooks app. Some users who attempt to open digital ebooks purchased from the iBookstore are prompted with the following error message: There is a problem with the configuration of your iPhone. Please restore with iTunes and reinstall iBooks. It seems that Apple has allegedly built a jailbreak checker into iOS 4.0 and above to see if someone’s iPhone has been jailbroken. If they found it hacked, then Apple blocks access to the content, like in the latest version of the iBooks app. If you are effected by this issue and are looking for an easy fix, you can resolve the problem by following the guide listed below using iBooksFix Cydia app: Step 1: Launch Cydia on your jailbroken device. Step 2: Select Manage tab at the bottom of your iPhone screen and then select Sources. Step 3: Select Edit and then select Add. Now enter a URL source. Type https://repo.insanelyi.com and select on Add Source. Once Cydia has added the source click on Return to Cydia button. Step 4: Once the installation is completed. Search for iBooks Fix in Cydia and install it. Step 5: Reboot your iPhone. You can now enjoy reading iBooks from iBookstore without being blocked by Apple. The iPhone Dev-Team has also addressed the issue with iBooks in the latest version of PwnageTool 4.2, which is available to download now.
