Popular iPhone hacker iH8Sn0w recently released another update to Sn0wbreeze 2.8 that allows the users with the iPhone 3GS (with an old bootrom) to jailbreak untethered on iOS 5b1. It was found in a recent tweet he made which said the following: sn0wbreeze 2.8 (for iOS 5.0b1) updated — https://t.co/oGV8Rvm // Now adds untethered iPhone 3GS old bootrom support. Just a few days ago, iH8Sn0w released an update for Sn0wbreeze (version 2.8b1) that allowed users to jailbreak on iOS 5b1 with Windows. This was the first client to do so since the release of iOS 5 beta 1. MuscleNerd along with the iPhone Dev Team were quick to post an updated version of Redsn0w, which supported not only the Windows OS but the Mac OS X as well just shortly after the Sn0wbreeze jailbreal tool’s release. For those of you who have an iPhone 3GS (with an old bootrom) and the Apple developer ID with iOS 5b1 access, you can jailbreak your device with an untethered solution. Sn0wbreeze 2.8b2 is available directly from the following official link: Again, Sn0wbreeze 2.8b2 is currently available for the Windows OS. MuscleNerd and the iPhone Dev Team may soon follow with an update for Redsn0w to accommodate what Sn0wbreeze has brought to the table.
