A new tweak named Go Native has been released on Cydia. This is a free tweak which gives you the ability to run applications in the background natively on applications that don’t support it yet. The developer said that this is an alternative to the tweak Backgrounder, in case you want native iOS 4 multitasking on all applications. One important thing to note is that this tweak only supports iOS devices that support native multitasking, so devices like the iPhone 3G are notsupported. This tweak does not add any additional icons to you SpringBoard, but it’s configurable through the Setting application on your iOS device.
You will of course need to have a jailbroken iPhone or iPod Touch to install it. Follow our step-by-step guide posted here to jailbreak your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch with Redsn0w on iOS 4.2.1 or with Limera1n on iOS 4.1 if you haven’t already. The Go Nativeapp is available from Cydia under the BigBoss repository for free.
