Seas0nPass is a new jailbreak for Apple TV 2G on iOS 4.2.1 that creates a custom iOS firmware similar to the way PwnageTool or Sn0wBreeze do. This new jailbreak utility for the Apple TV 2G is developed by the Firecore group and is available for Mac OS X only making it a no go for Windows users. The steps to create a custom firmware for Apple TV 2G are very similar to that of the steps found for PwnageTool. It will even download the firmware (IPSW file) for you if you don’t have it saved on your computer.

Quick Notes:

• Currently the jailbreak for the iOS 4.1.1 (4.2.1) software is “tethered.” (For those of you don’t already know, the tethered jailbreak requires the Apple TV to be connected to a computer for a brief moment during startup). – Seas0nPass also features a tethered boot tool.
• A Micro USB cable will also be required to complete the jailbreak so make sure you have one if you intend to jailbreak your Apple TV 2G with this utility.
