About eight months ago Wired was invited to document the birth of an insanely ambitious artwork, the Nebula. Stretching over 150 feet in length, and weighing in at more than 11,000 pounds, the kinetic sculpture by Reuben Margolin was installed at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas Texas in October.
Wired.com filmed the work from inception, logging about 100 hours of footage. Today we’re offering a sneak peek of the movie at IFP’s Power to the Pixel conference at the Lincoln Center’s Walter Reade Theater in New York City.
We’re joining a group of interactive film makers and transmedia pioneers exploring the boundaries of movie making. Watch our presentation live on the Internet at 12:10PM ET.
