For those of you who are familiar with the popular iPhone hacker, @comex and his work, there has been some news of JailbreakMe 3.0 and a possibility of it being released being as early as “before next Wednesday.” Comex was behind the JailbreakMe 2.0 userland jailbreak and is currently working on a similar jailbreak for the updated iOS firmware (iOS firmware 4.2.1-4.33). The new release should be somethign similar in terms of ease of use and functionality for the general public and the other big news being, a jailbreak will finally be here for the iPad 2, which up until now has been left behind due to it having an A5 chip instead of the A4 found in the previous devices. The writer @paulpols and the developer @veeence tweeted the following information regarding the news and of Comex’s progress on the jailbreak: So @comex is *hoping* to make the jailbreak of the iPad 2 public sometime before wednesday. Don’t report it as a deadline, because it’s not. iPad2 jailbreak ETA is before next wednesday. Again, this is ESTIMATED time. Thanks a lot to @paulpols for this info. Follow him.
