Sony is having a patch of bad luck with their gaming systems. It seems like Sony just got done addressing the PlayStation 3 being hacked and the industrious developer who released custom firmware for it, and now its comes out that the PSP Go has been hacked as well. An ISO loader has been successfully loaded on to the PSP Go by known PSP hacker, Liquidzigong. Some how, some of his files were leaked as well as a few videos including one that shows Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep being run on a GO. What makes this video even more notable is that the game was only released on UMD, thus making it unplayable on the download-only version of the Go.
Since the PSP has been riddled with piracy, it has made many developers think twice about releasing games for the platform. Sony has taken many steps to try to prevent piracy, one of which was to make downloadable games. They even designed the PSP Go with no external battery to make the process of hacking more difficult. But it looks like these steps weren’t quite enough as it took 3 years for the PS3 to be hacked and now less than 2 for the Go. Do you think that the Go will become more popular now that it has been hacked and therefor opening up more options?
