The buzz from CES 2011 hasn’t even died down yet and Samsung is already big promises. For MWC 2011 next month the company has promised smartphones but more surprisingly, new Galaxy Tab tablet models. The Korea Herald is reporting that the new handsets will have dual-core processors, run Android 2.3 Gingerbread and pack the same Super AMOLED Plus displays as the one on Verizon’s new Samsung 4G smartphone at CES.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the new slates are also going to be making an appearance at the Barcelona show in February. With Samsung also promising varying models of the Galaxy Tab, they’ll range from smaller and larger than the first-gen 7-inch model. Since IFA 2010, there hasn’t been any official word on what size the new screens will be. The new tablets will be based on “fourth generation technology” says Samsung mobile executive Shin Jong-kyun, but it’s still unclear if he was referring to 4G connectivity. Along with this news, Samsung has announced an updated first-gen Galaxy Tab for Verizon’s 4G LTE network. Do you think that the new announced Galaxy Tab models will have the same success as the previous ones?
