Most of us are used to playing the waiting game, and now is no different as we sit patiently waiting for a stable version of an untethered jailbreak for our Apple devices; iPhones, iPods and iPads that are on firmware 4.2.1. But for everyone who is planning on switching to Verizon there might not be that long of wait as the news that the iPhone Dev Team is already working on jailbreaking the CDMA iPhone. The team is currently working on a jailbreak for firmware 4.2.5 (as first seen on Verizons iPhone 4) and the beta 4.3 which Apple released just last Wednesday. MuscleNerd has announced via his twitter that nothing will be released until the firmware they’re working on is out of beta, the reasoning for this he says is “Most people can’t take advantage of betas”. While that makes perfect sense, its also suspected that the Team doesn’t want Apple to fix the exploits they’ve found before the release of the update.

There’s no doubt that once the Verizon iPhone lands in the hands of the public there will be a lot of people looking to jailbreak their new phone. Seeing as how the wait for a Verizon iPhone has been excruciatingly long, this news that the Team is already at work has been some good news that the patient consumers deserve. Even though he’s been extremely busy lately, MuscleNerd is still keeping us updated on his progress of an unlock for the iPhone 4 via his twitter. If you’re one of the many getting the new CDMA iPhone through Verizon, will you be looking to jailbreak the device as soon as you get your hands on it?

Stay tuned for more news and updates, also don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and/or subscribe to our RSS Feed.
