The iOS 4.2.1 is already jailbroken but not all iPhones out there are unlockable I am talking about the iPhone 4 units sporting baseband 2.10.04 and 3.10.01. iPhone Dev Team has been working to unlock these basebands. A recent tweet by Sherif Hashim gives an update on upcoming Ultrasn0w unlock for iPhone 4. He clearly confirmed that, baseband exploit is working for both baseband 02.10.04 & 03.10.01 on upcoming Ultrasn0w unlock for iPhone 4. @sherif_hashim Hi Sherif, I dont wanna ask about an ETA but I just wanna know if uve found an exploit for bb 03.10.01 or not, w8ng patiently @VaMpYrE7 the one I found is working for both For those who are wondering about the release of Ultrasn0w 1.3, The iPhone Dev Team will release it soon after the iOS 4.3 out for public. Beta version of iOS 4.3 is already out and we are expecting an official release will be out soon. Folks over at RedmondPie have also received a screenshot which confirms that the upcoming Ultrasn0w will be compatible to unlock your iPhone 4 on BB 01.59.00, 02.10.04 and iPhone 3GS/3G on BB 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 5.12.01, 05.13.04, and 06.15.00. This screen gives answers to all those who were bit skeptical about the Musclenerd’s statement that iPhone 4 unlock on baseband 02.10.04, 03.10.01 is working perfect and will be ready for primetime just after iOS 4.3 is released to public. The screenshot however, does not talk about bb 03.10.01. But it might be included with this release of Ultrasn0w. What about baseband 05.14 and 05.15 on iPhone 3GS, 3G? Well, iPhone Dev Team have already confirmed that they have identified some crashes  on baseband 05.14 and 05.15 on iPhone 3G and 3GS and soon users will be able to unlock their iPhone 3GS without updating to iPad’s baseband 06.15.00, which was little bit tedious for newbie’s. As iOS 4.3 is dropping on 11th March, we can safely assume that by then we will get confirmed news (probably a demo video) to unlock iPhone4 from Musclenerd.
