Similar to how iMovie was hacked to run on the iPhone 3GS, it was only a matter of time before someone figured out a way to install iMovie 1.2 for iPad 2 on to the first-generation iPad. Step 1: You will need to download and install the latest version (version 3.3) of the iPhone Configuration Utility (Windows/Mac) Step 2: Start the iPhone Configuration Utility, click on “Applications” found on the left and then open iMovie (which can be found under iTunes / Mobile Applications). Step 3: Connect your first generation iPad via USB cable and select your iPad listed under “Devices”.
