[How To] Get Windows 8 Taskbar User Picture Tile In Windows 7

We recently reported about Microsoft’s Windows 8 OEM copy being leaked, it was only a matter of time before the Windows modding community started bringing as many Windows 8 features to Windows 7 as possible. One of the features of the Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 8 OS is the updated taskbar that features a small user picture tile in the notification area of the taskbar. The user picture tile displays which user is currently logged in, and gives quick access to Control Panel and User Account settings right from the taskbar. Now thanks to TaskBar UserTile, Windows 7 users can get the same functionality while they wait for Windows 8 goodness to be released. While still very much in a beta stage, the little tweak has been confirmed to work with Windows 7 SP1 though your mileage may vary. Taskbar UserTile is a small utility which helps you get Windows 8 taskbar user picture tile in Windows 7. Once installed, you will see your current user picture in system tray area on the taskbar (next to date and time).
