Apple kept to their word and on Wednesday released iOS 5 for users around the world. iTunes 10.5 (which was released on Tuesday) is required before you can download the update. Not all Apple users are eligible for this update- only owners of the iPhone 4, iPhone 3Gs, iPad/iPad 2, and iPod Touch 3rd and 4th generations have access to the build. iOS 5 has more than 200 new features including (but not limited to): iMessage (the BBM of the iPhone) Built in Twitter integration (tweet anything from anywhere) Upgraded notifications system (Notification Center – one stop shop for all notifications for your iOS device) Newsstand (like iBooks for newspapers and magazines) and much more… Two new iOS apps; Find My Friends and Airport Utility as well as OS x 10.7.2 with iCloud support were also released on Wednesday. The app Find My Friends can be found by going to iCloud.com on your iOS device. What do you think of the new build? If you’ve downloaded it already, how do you like it? Authors:
